The agreement is reportedly complete except for signatures, maps, and determining whether waterways accept laminated badges.

The White House circulated Form HORMUZ-OPEN-1 on Saturday after Trump described an Iran deal as “largely negotiated,” placing the Strait of Hormuz in provisional unlocked status pending initials in blue ink.

A shipping corridor readiness chart in the Situation Room listed oil tankers as “probable,” diplomacy as “to be routed,” and the Persian Gulf’s door policy as “ask reception.”

“No waterway may resume operations without proper signage,” one fictional compliance official said.

Staff then prepared a commemorative binder for the not-yet-final agreement, leaving the signature page blank but pre-approved for applause, flags, and three cable-news lower thirds.

Context

Trump said a proposed Iran agreement had been largely negotiated and could include reopening the Strait of Hormuz, but remained subject to finalization.
